چکیده
The present study aimed to evaluate the GSH and MDA levels in dog’s serum vital organs of aborted fetuses, after application two abortifacient. Animals group I (n = 6) were treated twice with subcutaneous injection 10 mg/kg aglepristone II 3) received prostaglandin F2α at a dose 125 μg/kg every 12 hours until abortion process completed. Hematologic examinations sedimentation rates performed bitches. duration between first occurrence vaginal discharge expulsion fetuses ranged 14-29 (mean: 22.6±5.5 h) 24-33 II, respectively. Both treatments significantly increased (P<0.01); however throughout study, enhanced plasma only on day 1. lower aglepristone-treated bitches than prostaglandin-treated animals (P<0.05). resulted similar liver heart tissues (P>0.05). kidney, muscle did not differ groups (P>0.05), reduced tissue High could be evaluated as useful marker for fetal suffering pregnancy controls. levels, measured suggest possible toxic effects abortifacients newborns, both medical agents are being used parturition induction.

Oxidative Stress and Erythrocyte Membrane Alterations in Children with Autism: Correlation with Clinical Features
It has been suggested that oxidative stress may play a role in the pathogenesis of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), but the literature reports somewhat contradictory results. To further investigate the issue, we evaluated a high number of peripheral oxidative stress parameters, and some related issues such as erythrocyte membrane functional features and lipid composition. Twenty-one autistic ch...

We compared pharmacokinetics of cocaine and its metabolite, benzoylecgonine, in pregnant rhesus monkeys and their fetuses at mid-gestation: 1) after a single intravenous dose of cocaine, 2) after a single oral dose of cocaine, 3) after the last oral cocaine administration of a 50-day-long chronic cocaine treatment, and 4) on the last day of a 50-day-long chronic treatment with five daily intrav...

Objective(s):Lead (Pb) is a toxic metal inducing many destructive effects leading to a broad range of physiological, biochemical, and neurological dysfunctions in humans and laboratory animals. Materials and Methods: Here, we investigated the effect of chronic exposure to Pb (50 mg/l) on oxidative stress, hepatotoxicity, nephrotoxicity, and lipid profile of two different age groups of female r...
متن کاملAlterations to oxidative stress markers in dogs after a short-term stress during transport*
While methods to evaluate antioxidant capacity in animals exist, one problem with the models is induction of oxidative stress. It is necessary to promote a great enough challenge to induce measurable alterations to oxidative parameters while ensuring the protocol is compatible with animal welfare. The aim of the present study was to evaluate caged transport as a viable short-term stress that wo...
